Francesca Salvemini, flutist

Francesca Salvemini, flutist, awarded with the “Prix de Virtuosité” of Conservatoire Superieure de Musique de Geneve, attending the training classes of with the famous french flutist Maxence Larrieu. Born in Brindisi in 1975, began studying music at the “T. Schipa” State Conservatory of Lecce and received the Diploma at the “G. Verdi” State Conservatory of Milan.
She won 1st prize at various national and international flute competitions and plays as a Soloist for prestigious concert organisation in Italy as well as abroad: Philharmonie Berlin, Sala Verdi in Milan Conservatory, Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Grande Salle du Conservatorie in Geneva, Teatro San Benito Abad in Mexico City, Concert Salonu Istanbul, and more in New York, Madrid,
Amsterdam, Helsinky, etc., with orchestras such as: Solisti Veneti, Solisti Aquilani, Solisti de Madrid, State Orchestra of Moscow, Orchestre Philharmonic of Ploiesti, Orchestra Sinfonica di Bari, Offerta Musicale in Venice, Vox Aurae, Orchestra I Suoni del Sud, Orchestra Filarmonica “Mihai Jora” in Bacau (Romania), Philarmonie Opole (Polonia), Orchestra Sinfonica di Izmir e Delvet Senfoni Orkestrasi (Turchia), and Orquesta Sinfonica di Stato del Messico.
She collaborated with conductors: E. Krivine, M. Corboz, K. Sanderling, G. Khun, O. Balan, B. Dawidow, E. Güvin Yasliçam, and played with famous artists as: M. Larrieu, S. Mildonian, C. Antonelli, A. Branch, J. Garcia Moreno, and especially in duo with her mother, pianist S. Libardo (more than 400 concert in Italy and abroad).
She Holds Masterclasses in Italy, USA (Georgia and Virginia University), and South America (Brasile, Argentina) is flute Professor at Monopoli’s “Nino Rota” State Conservatory. Has recorded with Bongiovanni-Bologna, VelutLuna-Padova, Acustica-Lecce, published flute and piano music and transcriptions.
